Alessia Cara
When she was 19, she released her single for her debut album Here. It was a huge hit and was praised by critics and listeners alike. It peaked at number 19 among both Canadian Hot 100 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named the hit one of the Best Songs of the year. That same year, she released Know It All. Scars to Your Beautiful is one of five songs she wrote that made it to the top of Billboard's charts. This was an exceptional track due to her Rap-Up interview she did with those who heard her tracks could connect to her experiences of learning to love themselves and rethinking their beliefs about her. Cara is well-known for incorporating messages about wellbeing, kindness, and self-love into her songs. The music of Cara is directly from her struggles with mental illness and insomnia. In a Reuters interview, she described her album as half tumultuous as well as half-perfected. She says she grew through therapy and she encourages anyone else to seek out help whenever needed. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on the 11th July 1996. At the age of 10 young, her parents gifted her a guitar, which was the beginning of her musical passion. In the age of 13, she started covering songs she like on YouTube for the purpose of showing people that she had talent and determined to pursue a career as a musician. In fact, one of her cover songs Sweater Weather could be the single that made her the focus of EP Entertainment. They allowed her to write and record the songs she composed.
